Every tree removal begins with a thorough on-site assessment. We evaluate the tree’s structure, health, surrounding environment and proximity to buildings, powerlines and neighbouring properties. From there we develop a safe, methodical removal plan — whether that involves sectional dismantling from a harness, crane-assisted removal or a straightforward fell.

When you need the tick of approval.
In the ACT, many trees are protected under the Urban Forest Act 2023. Before removing a tree on private land you may need approval from the ACT Government, particularly if the tree is considered a regulated or registered tree.
As a general guide, a tree is protected if it is 8 metres or taller, has a canopy width 8 metres or wider, or has a trunk circumference of 1 metre or more at 1.4 metres above natural ground level. The full requirements are on City Services’ website. Registered trees hold historic, scientific or aesthetic value and are listed on the ACT Tree Register.

Stump grinding is the most efficient and cost-effective way to remove a stump, grinding it below ground level and leaving the site clean and ready for replanting, turfing or landscaping.
